I’m the type of person with a new hobby every month. However, the general theme is that I like being outdoor, being active and creating things. Currently I spend time on:
And I am Danish, so obviously I bike everywhere.
Cecilie HundahlI am a curious and creative scientist with broad experience in biomedical research. I work full time as a Postdoc at the Danish Cancer Society, but freelance on the site as a biomedical illustrator when interesting projects come my way. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, I work freelance with scientist globally.
I have extensive formal training as a scientist, including a MSc in Human Biology and a PhD in metabolism/neuroscience. My current research is focused on autophagy and its role in cancer.
As an illustrator, I am autodidact and have mainly learned through trial-and-error, supplemented with a few informal courses, but I have been creating digital illustrations for a lot longer than I have been a scientist.
My specialty is communication of scientific/medical ideas or facts, presented in a format that is aesthetically appealing without sacrificing scientific accuracy or instructional value.
I am available for freelance work and I would love to hear from you!
